The Structural Design Engineer will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and developing structural components and systems for various projects. The role involves preparing structural drawings, performing calculations, coordinating with internal teams, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and safety codes.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare structural designs and detailed engineering drawings for buildings / industrial structures / steel structures (as applicable).
Perform structural analysis, load calculations, and design checks using industry-standard software.
Develop GA drawings, fabrication drawings, and reinforcement detailing.
Ensure designs comply with applicable IS codes and other relevant standards.
Review and interpret architectural, mechanical, and civil drawings.
Provide technical support to project teams during execution and address structural design-related issues.
Collaborate with architects, project managers, and site engineers for seamless project delivery.
Prepare design reports, BOQs, and technical documentation.
Conduct design optimization for cost-effective and safe structures.
Participate in design reviews and incorporate feedback effectively.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering / Structural Engineering (B.E/B.Tech).
Strong knowledge of structural engineering principles and materials.
Familiarity with design standards such as IS, ACI, BS, or Euro codes (as applicable).
Hands-on experience with structural design software such as:
STAAD.Pro
ETABS
SAFE
AutoCAD
Revit (optional)
Good understanding of RCC, steel, and foundation design.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and ability to prepare accurate drawings/calculations.
Good communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications (Optional):
Experience in industrial structures, PEB, commercial buildings, or residential projects.
Knowledge of finite element analysis (FEA).
Basic site exposure or internship experience.
