Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Design & Analysis:

Develop structural systems for new and existing projects (buildings, bridges, etc.).

Calculations:

Perform complex load, stress, and stability analyses.

Modeling:

Create detailed drawings, blueprints, and 3D models using CAD/FEA software.

Material Selection:

Choose appropriate construction materials (steel, concrete, etc.).

Compliance:

Ensure all designs meet local, state, and federal building codes and regulations.

Collaboration:

Work closely with architects, contractors, project managers, and other engineers.

Project Management:

Administer contracts, manage timelines, and oversee project phases.

Site Supervision:

Conduct site inspections, monitor construction, and address design-related issues.

Reporting:

Prepare technical reports, specifications, and documentation.

Troubleshooting:

Investigate structural failures or damage and propose solutions.
