We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented
Structural Design Engineer
to design, analyze, and develop structural systems for
bridge, canal, and related infrastructure projects
. The role involves collaborating with architects, hydrologists, and construction teams to deliver safe, efficient, and cost-effective structural designs in compliance with national and international standards.

Key Responsibilities
Design and analyze
bridge components
such as decks, girders, piers, abutments, and foundations, as well as
canal structures
like aqueducts, siphons, regulators, falls, and retaining walls.
Perform
structural analysis and design calculations
for RCC, PSC, and steel structures as per
IRC, IS, and MORTH
specifications.
Develop and review
structural drawings, models, and reinforcement details
using AutoCAD and structural design software (STAAD Pro, MIDAS Civil, ETABS, etc.).
Conduct
load assessments
including dead, live, impact, seismic, and wind loads; ensure structural safety and serviceability.
Coordinate with
geotechnical, hydraulic, and architectural teams
for integrated design solutions.
Review and approve
shop drawings, bar bending schedules (BBS)
, and vendor/contractor design submissions.
Conduct
site inspections
to verify design implementation and provide technical guidance during construction.
Prepare and maintain
design reports, technical documentation, and approval drawings
for submission to clients or authorities.
Ensure designs adhere to applicable
IS, IRC, BIS, and international codes
, safety norms, and quality standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in
Civil or Structural Engineering
(Master's preferred).
4-7 years of experience in
structural design for bridges, canals, or infrastructure projects
.
Proficiency in
STAAD Pro, MIDAS Civil, AutoCAD
, and other structural analysis/design tools.
Strong understanding of
bridge and hydraulic structure behavior
, load paths, and detailing practices.
Knowledge of
MORTH, IRC, and IS codes
relevant to highway and canal projects.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and technical writing skills.
Good communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in
prestressed concrete bridge
design and
hydraulic structures
(aqueducts, siphons, regulators).
Familiarity with
seismic and wind load design
for infrastructure projects.
Working knowledge of
BIM tools
(Revit Structure, Tekla) or 3D modeling software.
