Role Overview





We are looking for a skilled HyperMesh Meshing Engineer with strong hands-on experience in finite element pre-processing and meshing for structural analysis. The role focuses on high-quality mesh generation, assembly-level connectivity, and solver-ready model preparation while adhering to defined meshing standards and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities

Meshing & Pre-processing



Develop high-quality FE meshes using HyperMesh for complex components and assemblies. Perform shell, tetra, and hexa meshing using both manual and automated techniques. Control and validate mesh quality parameters such as element size, aspect ratio, skewness, warpage, Jacobian, and connectivity. Perform geometry cleanup, defeaturing, midsurface extraction, and topology correction to enable robust meshing.

Mesh Quality & Debugging



Identify mesh quality failures and resolve them efficiently. Ensure mesh integrity to support accurate analysis results, convergence, and solver stability. Follow internal and customer-specific meshing guidelines and best practices.

Assembly Modeling & Connectivity



Work on full assembly-level FE models. Create and validate connections including:

+ Contacts
+ Tie constraints
+ MPCs
+ RBE2 / RBE3
+ Welds, bolts, and fasteners
Ensure proper load path continuity across assemblies.

Solver Interface & Analysis Support



Prepare solver decks and submit jobs for solvers such as OptiStruct and/or ANSYS. Apply boundary conditions, loads, and basic result requests. Interpret and resolve solver warnings and errors related to meshing and preprocessing. Possess a working understanding of analysis types including:

+ Linear Static
+ Modal
+ Buckling
+ Nonlinear (basic understanding)

Collaboration & Documentation



Coordinate closely with analysis and design teams to incorporate feedback. Provide regular status updates and support model reviews. Maintain proper documentation, traceability, and quality compliance throughout the modeling process.

Required Skills & Qualifications



Strong understanding of basic Finite Element Theory and the impact of mesh quality on analysis accuracy. Hands-on expertise in HyperMesh for structural meshing. Experience working in a quality-driven engineering environment. Ability to work under tight timelines, manage multiple models, and prioritize tasks effectively. * Good communication skills for cross-functional coordination.
