Stretching Coil Operator

Production Supervisor / Line In-Charge

The Stretching Coil Operator is responsible for stretching coils uniformly to achieve required length, shape, and dimensional accuracy as per engineering drawings and standard operating procedures. The role ensures coil integrity, insulation safety, quality compliance, and smooth flow to the next manufacturing stage. Freshers will be trained as per company standards.

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Stretching Operations

Perform coil stretching operations manually or using stretching machines as per process requirements. Apply uniform tension to achieve correct coil length and geometry. Ensure stretching is done without damaging conductor or insulation.

2. Quality Control & Inspection

Conduct visual and dimensional inspection after stretching. Identify defects such as over-stretching, uneven stretching, insulation cracks, or deformation. Segregate defective coils and report issues to the supervisor or quality team.

3. Production & Productivity

Achieve shift-wise production targets while maintaining quality standards. Reduce rework, rejection, and material wastage. Ensure timely transfer of stretched coils to the shaping section.

4. Tool & Equipment Handling

Operate stretching tools, fixtures, and machines safely. Perform basic cleaning and preventive care of stretching equipment. Report equipment malfunctions or abnormalities immediately.

5. Safety & Housekeeping

Follow all safety rules, SOPs, and EHS guidelines. Use prescribed PPE such as safety shoes, gloves, and uniform. Maintain 5S and cleanliness in the stretching area.

6. Documentation & Reporting

Record production output and inspection status. Report completed work, defects, and shift status to the supervisor. Ensure proper shift handover communication.

7. Additional Responsibility

During idle time, the operator may be assigned to support other shop-floor operations as per production requirements.

Education & Qualification

Minimum: 10th / 12th Pass Preferred: ITI (Electrical / Fitter / Production) Freshers with willingness to learn are encouraged to apply
