This Position is a key strategic HR Leader for our flagship & state of art factory in Sanand(Ahmedabad) with a daily average footfall of 750+ employees currently. Factory is presently going through a massive transformation with a multi-million Euro investment to expand its product portfolio in Nuclear Power Equipment Manufacturing including investments on much talked about SMR (Small Modular Reactors) Technology. Business is also in the middle of headcount ramp-up in Sanand where around 400 headcounts will be added over a period of next 2 years. The site has a significant impact on overall business priorities of Arabelle Solutions and hence the role of Factory HR Leader becomes highly crucial in independently driving the HR agenda and priorities that has a long-term strategic impact.
The position manages and leads the site HR & IR Team and reports directly to India HR Leader with dotted line reporting to Factory Director & Global New Build HRBP.
This role needs to have in-depth knowledge of contemporary HR practices, as well as independently leads IR/ Union relations/ Long Terms Settlements. The role will strategize, plan, and execute key HR initiatives, drive HR functional excellence and manage process improvements that have long term business impacts.
Define HR roadmap for the site to enable business growth in a sustainable, compliant, and safe manner. Promote a respectful, compliant, inclusive, and diverse workplace.
Lead and provide HR support to multiple senior leaders and employees based out of Sanand Manufacturing facility. Be the first point of contact for Factory Staff Members, People Leaders on fundamental HR topics and complex issues. Ensure that all employee relations issues are properly identified, reported, investigated, and resolved.
Provide dedicated guidance and coaching to multiple managers and employees with specific focus on employee advocacy/engagement, HR fundamentals and process training, employee relations management, performance management, compensation planning, career conversations, talent assessment and retention initiatives.
Act as a coach for Factory Leadership team on key HR processes and advise on OD interventions/ Org Designs as necessary. Support and advise Factory Director on framing of Individual Development Plans for staff members. Be a trusted partner to the leadership team in driving cultural transformation for the site.
Drive contemporary employee engagement initiatives with a purpose of building motivated, inclusive, and diverse workplace. Help manage the different engagement and employee welfare councils in building a great motivated workplace. Partner with India Communications Leader and Engagement teams in driving some of the initiatives.
Challenge as well as provide advice and counsel managers & employees to ensure consistent application and integration of policies, procedures, and practices at 100% compliance to promote an ethical, fair, and compliant work environment.
Represent and lead HR function in multiple statutory EHS, Quality and Labor and similar Audits, as necessary. Represent HR in Mission based teams in executing key projects. Own the labor and factory compliance. Liaison with statutory authorities and connect and influence as needed in closing the factory needs in compliant way.
Strategize and lead independently Management-Union Negotiations and execute Long Term Settlements. Coach the Site IR Leader and be proactive in driving the Strategic IR agenda for site.
Advice, counsel and lead on employee and unions relations. Advise management on legal/labor law/regulatory issues and risks management.
Lead and develop key learning initiatives and workouts for Site Leadership and guide the HR Team on executing the planned Annual Training needs for the site. Define the overall site-specific learning process and identify key learning needs for the factory.
Manage the overall headcount forecast and budget for the site, define the hiring plan accordingly and execute key leadership hirings as needed. Plan, prioritize and execute talent hiring as per plan partnering with Talent Acquisition and other business stake holders. Build retention and coaching plans for key talents.
Lead the Campus Hiring Drives for the Trainees and prepare the development as well as assessment plans for the new hires.
Be a trusted partner to Factory Director, India HR Leader and Global HRBP to execute business related specific HR strategies including high impact business related projects. Work on Global HR Projects in partnership with Global HRBPs.

Uses strategic hat to visualize and develop long term HR Plans for the Plant. Challenges and develops data (KPI) driven decision making. Strong on lean, simplification, and productivity projects.
Has Greenfield Project mindset and has relevant experience on massive expansion related hirings, related compliances, and lead HR Projects related to factory expansions.
Brings in Project Management skills in handling factory ramp-up and special HR projects.
Required Qualifications
MBA, MSW, PGDM (HR)/ MHRM with good academic record from an institute of good repute
15+ yrs of relevant experience in factory. Hands on experience in managing Industrial relations.
