Reporting To: Plant In-charge / Facility Manager

Job Purpose:

Responsible for the operation, routine maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting of the Sewage / Effluent Treatment Plant (STP/ETP) to ensure smooth functioning and compliance with environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate and monitor the STP plant equipment including pumps, blowers, motors, aerators, clarifiers, filters, and chemical dosing systems.

Conduct routine checks of inlet, outlet water quality (pH, TDS, BOD, COD, turbidity, chlorine levels etc.) and maintain proper records.

Handle daily plant operations such as starting/stopping equipment, sludge handling, and backwashing of filters.

Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance in coordination with the maintenance team.

Maintain logbooks, daily reports, and operational records of plant performance.

Ensure compliance with Pollution Control Board norms and statutory guidelines.

Report any abnormality, malfunction, or breakdown immediately to the supervisor.

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the plant premises.

Assist in periodic inspections, audits, and laboratory testing as required.

Ensure safe handling of chemicals and adherence to all safety protocols.

Qualification & Experience:

ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering preferred.

Minimum 2-5 years of experience in STP/ETP/WTP operations.

Knowledge of water treatment processes like MBR, MBBR, SBR, UF/RO systems (as applicable).

Skills Required:

Hands-on experience with STP/ETP equipment.

Basic understanding of water testing parameters.

Troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.

Record-keeping and reporting skills.

Awareness of safety standards and compliance norms.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
