to operate and maintain the Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) efficiently and ensure treated water meets required standards.
Key Responsibilities
Operate and monitor STP units: screens, aeration tanks, clarifiers, blowers, pumps, valves, etc.
Conduct daily tests for pH, DO, BOD, COD, TSS, chlorine, and maintain logs.
Manage chemical dosing (chlorine, alum, polyelectrolyte) safely and accurately.
Perform routine preventive maintenance and report equipment faults.
Maintain daily logbooks for plant performance and chemical consumption.
Handle sludge management, dewatering, and disposal as per norms.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and wear mandatory PPE.
Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping of the entire STP area.
Respond promptly to emergencies and operational issues.
Required Skills & Qualifications
ITI / Diploma preferred (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
1-3 years of experience in STP/ETP operations (freshers can also apply if trained).
Knowledge of water treatment processes and equipment.
Ability to conduct basic water quality tests.
Physically fit and willing to work in shifts.
Must be willing to relocate and work anywhere across India (Pan India posting).
