Key Responsibilities
Operate and monitor
STP/ETP systems
including pumps, blowers, aeration systems, filters, and dosing units
Perform
routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and breakdown repairs
Monitor and record
process parameters
such as pH, TSS, BOD, COD, DO, MLSS, etc.
Handle
chemical dosing
(chlorine, alum, polymers, nutrients, etc.) safely and efficiently
Ensure treated water quality meets
PCB / environmental standards
Maintain
daily log sheets, operation reports, and test records
Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults related to STP/ETP equipment
Coordinate with
MEP engineers, vendors, and laboratory staff
Maintain housekeeping, safety, and compliance at the plant
Assist during
commissioning, shutdowns, and audits
Ensure proper disposal of sludge and waste materials
Technical Skills & Knowledge
in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Environmental Engineering or equivalent
STP/ETP certification (preferred)
Safety & Compliance
Knowledge of
EHS practices
related to wastewater treatment
Ability to handle chemicals and equipment safely
Compliance with
local pollution control board norms
Soft Skills
Good communication and coordination skills
Ability to work in shifts and under site conditions
