Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Management:

Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing materials. Perform regular stock audits and physical verifications. Ensure timely updating of inventory management systems (ERP/SAP).

Material Handling:

Receive and inspect raw materials, chemicals, and packaging items as per specifications. Issue materials to production based on daily requirements. Ensure proper labeling and segregation of hazardous and non-hazardous materials.

Documentation & Reporting:

Prepare GRNs (Goods Receipt Notes), MRNs (Material Requisition Notes), and other relevant documents. Maintain stock registers and submit daily/monthly stock reports to management.

Compliance & Safety:

Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations. Follow and enforce SOPs related to material storage and handling. Coordinate safe disposal of expired or unused chemicals as per company policies.

Coordination:

Liaise with procurement, production, and quality control departments. Coordinate with vendors for timely delivery and returns.

System & Process Improvement:

Assist in continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory accuracy and warehouse efficiency. Suggest improvements in storage layout and stock handling practices.

Qualifications & Experience:

Graduate in any discipline (preferably B.Com/B.Sc). A diploma or certification in Material Management is a plus. 2-5 years of experience in store operations, preferably in a chemical or paint manufacturing industry. Knowledge of ERP software (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent). Familiar with MS Office (Excel, Word).

Skills Required:

Good knowledge of inventory and warehouse management. Strong organizational and communication skills. Attention to detail and accuracy. Knowledge of hazardous materials handling and MSDS. Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Working Conditions:

Factory-based role with exposure to chemical materials. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory. Physically demanding at times, requiring lifting and moving of materials.

Pay: ?9,124.62 - ?30,000.00 per month
