Job Summary

The Stores Executive - Kitchen is responsible for managing the receipt, storage, issuance, and inventory control of all kitchen-related materials including food items, beverages, and consumables. The role ensures proper stock levels, quality control, hygiene compliance, and coordination with the kitchen and procurement teams to support smooth kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory & Stock Control



Receive and inspect all kitchen supplies as per purchase orders and quality standards. Maintain accurate stock records, bin cards, and inventory registers. Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels to avoid shortages or overstocking. Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly stock checks and assist in stock audits.

Issuance & Documentation



Issue raw materials to the kitchen against authorized requisitions. Ensure FIFO (First In, First Out) / FEFO (First Expiry, First Out) practices. Maintain proper documentation for receipts, issues, returns, and wastage.

Storage & Hygiene



Ensure proper storage of dry, chilled, and frozen items as per food safety standards. Maintain cleanliness, organization, and pest-free conditions in the store areas. Ensure compliance with HACCP, FSSAI, and company hygiene standards.

Coordination & Communication



Coordinate with chefs, kitchen staff, and purchase department for requirements. Report slow-moving, expired, or damaged items promptly. Assist in forecasting and planning kitchen material requirements.

Cost & Waste Control



Monitor usage patterns and highlight variances. Control wastage, pilferage, and spoilage of kitchen items. Support cost control initiatives and inventory optimization.
Requirements & Qualifications

Diploma / Degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality, or Stores Management preferred. 2-5 years of experience in kitchen stores, preferably in hotels, restaurants, or catering operations. Knowledge of food safety standards, inventory systems, and storekeeping practices. Basic computer skills (MS Excel, inventory software). Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to work in shifts and handle physical store activities.
