is responsible for managing the receipt, storage, issuance, and record-keeping of materials, tools, and equipment at the site/store. The role ensures proper inventory control, timely availability of materials, and compliance with company procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Receive, inspect, and verify materials as per purchase orders and delivery challans
Maintain proper storage, stacking, and labeling of materials
Issue materials to site teams as per approved requisitions
Maintain accurate stock records, bin cards, and registers (manual or system-based)
Monitor stock levels and inform management for timely reordering
Conduct regular physical stock verification and reconcile discrepancies
Ensure safe handling and storage of materials to avoid damage or loss
Coordinate with Purchase, Site, and Accounts departments
Maintain records of tools, consumables, and returnable materials
Ensure cleanliness, safety, and discipline in the store area
Qualification & Experience
Minimum
Diploma / Graduate
(preferred)
1-3 years
experience as Store Keeper in construction / railway / infrastructure projects
Experience in handling electrical, civil, or S&T materials is an advantage
Skills & Knowledge
Basic knowledge of inventory management
Ability to maintain stock registers and documentation
Familiar with MS Excel / basic computer operations
Honest, organized, and detail-oriented
Good coordination and communication skills
