Job Description

The Store Keeper is responsible for managing the inventory of raw materials, hardware, finished goods, and consumables used in the furniture manufacturing process. The role ensures accurate stock management, timely material availability, proper storage, and compliance with documentation and safety standards.

JD:

1.

Material Management

a. Receive, inspect, and record incoming raw materials, hardware, and finished goods.

b. Issue materials to production departments as per job orders or requisitions.

c. Maintain stock levels to avoid shortages or overstocking.

d. Tag, label, and store materials systematically.

2.

Inventory Control

a. Update stock records regularly in the inventory management system.

b. Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly stock counts.

c. Reconcile physical stock with system data and report variances.

d. Maintain records of material movement (inward, outward, returns, rejections).

3.

Documentation & Compliance

a. Prepare GRN (Goods Receipt Notes), issue notes, and transfer documentation.

b. Ensure compliance with ISO/Factory standards and safety norms.

c. Maintain material traceability and batch records.

4.

Coordination

a. Coordinate with procurement, production, and dispatch teams for material flow.

b. Liaise with vendors for return/replacement of defective materials.

5.

Housekeeping & Safety

a. Ensure cleanliness and organized storage in the store area.

b. Follow safety protocols and use material handling equipment correctly.

Stores Areas Involved:

Raw Material Store (timber, plywood, laminates, veneer, MDF, etc.) Hardware & Accessories Store (hinges, screws, handles, etc.) Consumables (glue, polish, packing materials) Finished Goods Dispatch Section Coordination with Production, Purchase, and Quality departments
Software:

Excel - Advanced ERP Barcode / RFID scanning tools
Minimum Education Required:

Diploma B.Com M.Com
Experience in Storekeeping / Material Management / Logistics Range (Years)of

3 to 5 yrs

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
