Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management
:
Receive, store, and issue construction materials and tools.
Maintain accurate records of stock levels, receipts, and issues.
Regularly conduct physical stock verifications to reconcile discrepancies.
Material Handling
:
Ensure proper storage of materials to prevent damage or wastage.
Label and organize inventory systematically for easy accessibility.
Monitor material usage and notify procurement teams of low-stock items.
Documentation
:
Prepare and maintain stock ledgers, invoices, and delivery notes.
Generate and submit inventory reports to the project manager or procurement team.
Coordination
:
Liaise with procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of materials.
Work closely with site supervisors to forecast material requirements.
Safety & Compliance
:
Ensure the store complies with safety and cleanliness standards.
Follow proper protocols for storing hazardous or perishable items.
Key Skills and Competencies
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office.
Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Knowledge of construction materials, tools, and equipment is a must.
