Responsible for handling all store operations, including receiving, storing, issuing, and recording materials, tools, and equipment required for mechanical construction projects. Ensures proper inventory management and maintains records in compliance with company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials, tools, and equipment.
Maintain proper storage of materials to avoid damage, theft, or loss.
Issue materials and tools to site teams as per approved requisitions.
Keep accurate records of stock levels, receipts, and issues.
Monitor inventory levels and raise purchase requisitions when stock is low.
Ensure proper labeling, coding, and binning of materials.
Conduct regular stock audits and physical verification of materials.
Coordinate with purchase, accounts, and site teams for smooth material flow.
Maintain documentation such as GRN (Goods Receipt Note), Issue Slips, and Stock Registers.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and housekeeping in the store.
Handle return of excess or unused materials from sites.
Requirements:
Education:
Diploma/Graduate (preferably in Mechanical/Material Management).
Experience:
1-5 years as a Store Keeper in construction/mechanical industry.
Skills:
Knowledge of construction materials, piping, fittings, and mechanical tools.
Inventory management and record-keeping.
Familiarity with ERP/Inventory software and MS Excel.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
