Job Title: Store Keeper

Location: Steep House

Reports To: Restaurant Manager / Head Chef

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: As per Industry Standards

Key Responsibilities:

Receive and verify deliveries of food, beverages, and other restaurant supplies.

Ensure all items are properly stored in accordance with food safety standards.

Maintain accurate stock records and update inventory systems regularly.

Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the kitchen or management team for reordering supplies when necessary.

Organize and maintain the storage areas (dry storage, freezer, refrigerator) to ensure proper stock rotation (FIFO: First In, First Out).

Ensure that all items are stored in a clean, safe, and hygienic environment.

Check product expiry dates regularly and ensure products are used before they expire.

Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile them with the inventory management system.

Report on stock levels, shortages, and discrepancies to management.

Prepare reports for the restaurant manager regarding stock usage, waste, and potential stock outs.

Monitor and manage stock levels to minimize food waste and overstocking.

Dispose of expired or damaged goods following proper food safety and waste management guidelines.

Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure the correct items are available for meal prep.

Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and resolve any issues with orders.

Ensure all stored items comply with health and safety regulations.

Maintain cleanliness and organization in the storage areas.

Adhere to all food safety standards and guidelines, including proper labeling and temperature control for perishables.

Qualifications & Skills:

Proven experience as a Store Keeper or similar role, preferably in a restaurant or hospitality setting.

Minimum Graduate, having knowledge of inventory management and food safety standards.

Basic computer skills (Excel, inventory management software, etc.).
