Job Overview:



We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Storekeeper to manage the inventory and stock levels in our warehouse or store. The Storekeeper will be responsible for receiving, storing, and organizing products, materials, and supplies, ensuring efficient and accurate stock management. The ideal candidate will also maintain records of stock movements and assist in the coordination of deliveries and shipments.

Key Responsibilities:



Inventory Management:

Receive, inspect, and verify goods upon delivery to ensure accuracy, quality, and condition. Store and organize stock in designated locations following company procedures. Keep accurate and up-to-date inventory records, tracking stock levels and movements. Regularly conduct stock counts and reconciliation to ensure accuracy.

Stock Control:

Monitor stock levels and reorder supplies as needed. Identify and report slow-moving or obsolete inventory. Ensure items are stored in a safe and secure manner, preventing damage or theft.

Quality Assurance:

Inspect incoming goods for damages or discrepancies and report issues to suppliers or management. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the storage area.

Shipping & Receiving:

Prepare and pack items for shipment according to customer orders or company requirements. Ensure timely and accurate dispatch of goods to customers or other departments.

Documentation:

Complete and maintain all relevant documentation, such as delivery receipts, inventory logs, and stock transfer forms. Update records of received and issued items in inventory management systems.

Safety & Compliance:

Adhere to safety guidelines and ensure the storage area is free of hazards. Ensure compliance with company policies, regulations, and quality standards.

Customer Service:

Assist with the delivery of goods to customers, ensuring accurate and timely orders. Provide assistance to other departments or staff requiring specific items from the store.

Qualifications:



High school diploma or equivalent (preferred). Proven experience as a Storekeeper, Warehouse Worker, or in a similar role. Basic knowledge of inventory management and storage techniques. Familiarity with inventory management software or systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle). Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to handle physical work, including lifting and moving stock. Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping. Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Physical Requirements:



Ability to stand, bend, and lift items up to [weight]. Ability to work in a warehouse environment, which may involve exposure to varying temperatures and conditions.
