Job Description

Key ResponsibilitiesPurchasing & Vendor Management

Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers/vendors for raw materials, consumables, packaging materials, and other requirements. Negotiate prices, payment terms, credit limits, and contracts with vendors to ensure cost-effective procurement. Ensure timely issuance of Purchase Orders (POs) and follow up for on-time delivery. Maintain vendor database and track vendor performance based on quality, delivery, and service. Develop alternate vendor sources to mitigate risks of supply shortages.

Stores & Inventory Management

Supervise receipt, inspection, and proper storage of raw materials, consumables, and finished goods. Ensure accurate stock records in ERP/manual registers and maintain minimum/reorder stock levels. Conduct periodic physical stock verification and reconcile with system records. Implement FIFO/LIFO and other inventory control methods as per company standards. Monitor scrap, rejections, and wastage while ensuring proper disposal as per company guidelines.

Coordination & Compliance

Coordinate with the production and quality departments to ensure uninterrupted material supply. Work closely with finance/accounts for vendor payments and purchase-related documentation. Prepare and submit regular reports on purchase activities, stock levels, and consumption trends.

Process Improvement & Cost Optimization

Continuously evaluate procurement and store processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Implement best practices in supply chain management. Support management in budgeting and cost control related to purchases and stores.

Key Skills & Competencies

Strong negotiation and vendor management skills. Knowledge of inventory management techniques and ERP systems. Good understanding of supply chain processes in a plastics/manufacturing industry. Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Strong communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills. Ability to lead a team and maintain discipline in stores operations.

Qualifications & Experience

Graduate/Diploma in Supply Chain Management / Materials Management / Commerce / Engineering. 2 - 3 years of experience in Purchase & Stores Management, preferably in

plastics, manufacturing, or related industries

. Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems, and inventory management software.

Pay: ?15,000.00 - ?25,000.00 per month
