Key Responsibilities:1. Material Receipt & Verification
Receive raw materials (clay, feldspar, frits, glaze, chemicals, packing materials, etc.) and verify them against purchase orders.
Coordinate with the Quality team for inspection and acceptance.
Prepare and post
Goods Receipt Notes (GRN)
in
SAP MM
.
Ensure correct storage and labeling of received materials.
2. Material Issue & Return
Issue raw materials, consumables, and spares to production and maintenance departments as per material requisitions.
Record
Goods Issue (GI)
and
Material Return
transactions in SAP.
Maintain proper records of daily issues and balances.
3. Inventory Control
Maintain accurate
real-time stock
in SAP and reconcile with physical inventory.
Conduct
daily / monthly stock verification
and highlight variances.
Monitor
minimum and reorder levels
to prevent material shortages.
Handle proper stacking and identification for raw, semi-finished, and finished tiles.
4. Finished Goods Management
Update finished goods stock in SAP after production confirmation.
Coordinate with dispatch and sales teams for delivery of customer orders.
Maintain FG stock reports and ensure correct batch and lot tracking.
5. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain inward/outward registers, GRN files, issue slips, and vendor challans.
Generate SAP reports (
MB52, MB5B, MB51, MIGO
) for daily review.
Submit monthly reports on stock consumption, wastage, and non-moving items.
6. Coordination & Compliance
Coordinate with
Purchase, Accounts, Production, and Dispatch
departments for material flow.
Ensure compliance with
audit, 5S, and safety standards
.
Support internal and external audits related to inventory.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
Graduate / Diploma in Material Management / B.Com / BBA / BE (Mechanical / Industrial preferred)
Experience:
3-5 years in stores/inventory management, preferably in a
tiles or ceramic manufacturing plant
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in SAP MM Module (MIGO, MIRO, MB1A, MB52, MB5B)
Good command over
MS Excel & documentation
Knowledge of material coding, bin management, and stock reconciliation
Soft Skills:
Attention to detail and accuracy
Team coordination and communication
Time management and discipline
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
SAP and physical stock accuracy (%)
On-time GRN and GI posting
Reduction in stock variance and non-moving items
Compliance with store audits and safety norms
