The Inventory Store Manager will be responsible for overseeing all store inventory operations, including stock management, documentation, dispatch, receipts, and maintaining accurate records. The role ensures smooth operation of the store and supports production and purchase teams with timely material availability.
Key ResponsibilitiesInventory Control & Stock Management
Maintain accurate daily stock levels for raw materials, packaging materials, finished goods, and consumables.
Conduct regular stock counts (daily/weekly/monthly) and reconcile physical stock with system records.
Prevent stock discrepancies, shortages, and excess inventory.
Implement FIFO/FEFO and proper material storage practices.
Store Operations
Monitor material inward and outward movement with proper documentation (GRN, Issue Slips, Stock Register).
Ensure timely issuing of materials to production as per approved requisitions.
Manage vendor returns, damaged materials, and scrap handling.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the store area.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain updated stock registers, bin cards, and digital inventory records.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly stock reports for management.
Coordinate with accounts for purchase bills, GRNs, and stock reconciliation.
Coordination & Compliance
Coordinate with Purchase, Production, QC, and Accounts departments.
Support audits and ensure compliance with company policies.
Implement safety standards for material handling and storage.
Team Management (if applicable)
Supervise store assistants or helpers.
Allocate daily tasks and ensure operational efficiency.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience as Storekeeper/Inventory Supervisor/Store Manager.
Strong knowledge of inventory management systems (manual or software).
Proficiency in MS Excel and basic computer skills.
Strong organizational and documentation skills.
Ability to work long hours and handle physical material movement.
Honest, disciplined, and detail-oriented.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in manufacturing, food processing, FMCG, or similar industries.
Knowledge of ERP or inventory management software.
