Role Summary:

The Store Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring efficient management of all store operations, including material receipt, storage, issue, inventory control, documentation, and coordination with purchase, production, and accounts departments for smooth workflow and cost-effective material handling.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise receipt, inspection, and proper storage of materials. Ensure timely issuance of materials to various departments as per approved requisitions. Maintain accurate stock records (both manual and system based). Conduct regular physical stock verification and reconcile with system records. Identify slow-moving, non-moving, and obsolete items. Maintain minimum and maximum stock levels to avoid overstocking or stockouts. Monitor and control material consumption to ensure cost-effective usage. Implement inventory management practices to optimize stock holding. Ensure proper documentation for all receipts, issues, and returns. Prepare daily/weekly/monthly stock reports. Coordinate with Accounts for GRNs, debit notes, and audit requirements. Coordinate with the Purchase Department to ensure timely delivery of materials. Support audit and compliance activities. Ensure proper discipline, housekeeping, and safety in the store area. Ensure adherence to company policies, safety norms, and statutory requirements. Maintain proper labelling, segregation, and fire safety measures in stores. Continuously explore opportunities to improve material handling efficiency and reduce overall inventory costs.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in field. Minimum 8+ years of store or inventory management experience (experience in textile or jute industry is preferred). Good working knowledge of inventory systems and strong Excel skills. Strong organisational, analytical, communication and leadership skills.
