Job Description

Job Summary

The Store Manager is responsible for overseeing daily store operations, ensuring smooth functioning, achieving sales targets, managing staff, maintaining inventory, and delivering excellent customer service. The role requires strong leadership, operational skills, and accountability for store performance.

Key Responsibilities
Store Operations

Manage day-to-day store operations efficiently

Ensure store cleanliness, hygiene, and proper product display

Maintain compliance with company policies and local regulations

Handle store opening and closing procedures

Sales & Customer Service

Drive sales growth and achieve monthly/quarterly targets

Ensure high customer satisfaction and resolve customer complaints

Implement promotional activities and offers in-store

Monitor pricing, discounts, and product visibility

Inventory & Stock Management

Monitor stock levels and place timely purchase orders

Prevent stock shortages, overstocking, and pilferage

Conduct regular stock audits and reconcile discrepancies

Ensure proper storage, FIFO practices, and expiry management

Staff Management

Supervise, train, and motivate store staff

Prepare duty rosters and manage attendance

Evaluate staff performance and provide feedback

Maintain discipline and positive work culture

Billing & Cash Management

Ensure accurate billing and POS operations

Handle cash, UPI, card transactions, and daily cash reconciliation

Prepare daily sales reports and expense records

Coordinate with accounts/owners for financial reporting

Vendor & Purchase Coordination

Coordinate with suppliers and distributors

Negotiate prices and ensure timely deliveries

Verify invoices and maintain vendor records

Skills & Competencies

Strong leadership and people management skills

Good knowledge of retail operations and inventory management

Customer-focused approach

Basic computer knowledge (POS, Excel, billing software)

Problem-solving and decision-making ability

Honest, disciplined, and responsible

Qualification & Experience

Minimum: 12th Pass / Graduate preferred

2-5 years of experience in retail/store management

Experience in grocery/FMCG/kirana store is an advantage(Edited)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?9,000.00 - ?12,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
