Overview:
To lead and manage the overall store operations including receipt, storage, issue, inventory control, and dispatch of raw materials, consumables, spare parts, semi-finished goods, and finished products. Ensure timely material availability, accuracy of stock, and compliance with safety & statutory requirements to support smooth production and dispatch operations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Store Operations Management
Oversee end-to-end store operations (raw material, consumables, packing material, finished goods).
Establish and monitor SOPs for material receipt, inspection, storage, and issue.
Ensure proper material segregation, binning, and systematic storage for easy traceability.
Implement FIFO, FEFO, and ABC analysis for effective material management.
2. Inventory & Control
Monitor inventory levels and ensure optimum stock without overstocking/stock-outs.
Conduct regular cycle counts, stock audits, and reconciliation with ERP/SAP records.
Analyze slow-moving and obsolete stock, suggest liquidation/disposal strategies.
Ensure accurate data entry of GRNs, material issues, transfers, and returns.
3. Dispatch & Logistics Coordination
Oversee finished goods storage and dispatches in coordination with sales & logistics.
Ensure dispatch documents (delivery challan, invoices, e-way bills, packing lists) are accurate and compliant.
Liaise with transporters and logistics partners for timely movement of materials.
4. Compliance, Audit & Safety
Ensure compliance with statutory regulations related to GST, excise, and labor laws.
Maintain ISO/5S/Lean standards in warehouse management.
Enforce safety protocols in material handling, storage, and fire safety.
Coordinate with auditors (internal & statutory) for inventory verification.
5. Team Leadership & Coordination
Supervise and train store executives, supervisors, and operators.
Allocate manpower efficiently to support receiving, issuing, and dispatch operations.
Coordinate with production, purchase, planning, and sales teams for seamless operations.
Develop a culture of discipline, accuracy, and accountability in the store team.
6. Reporting & MIS
Generate daily/weekly/monthly MIS reports on stock, consumption, and dispatches.
Present inventory aging, stock variance, and material requirement reports to management.
Use ERP/SAP dashboards for real-time reporting and decision-making support.

Qualification & Experience:
Graduate / Postgraduate in Supply Chain, Logistics, Commerce, or Engineering.
7-12 years of experience in stores/warehouse operations, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial role.
Experience in FMEG, electrical/electronics, or consumer durable manufacturing preferred.
