Job Description

Manage store operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; follow up on work results. Hire, train, and oversee new staff. Motivate the sales team to meet sales objectives. Conduct personnel performance appraisals to assess training needs and build career paths. Maintain store staff job results by coaching, counselling and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring and appraising job results. Deal with staffing issues such as interviewing potential staff, conducting appraisals and performance reviews, as well as providing or organizing training and development. Identify current and future customer requirements by establishing rapport with potential and actual customers and other persons in a position to understand service requirements. Deliver excellent service to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. Develop business strategies to attract new customers, expand store traffic, and enhance profitability. Respond to customer complaints and concerns in a professional manner. Prepare detailed reports on buying trends, customer requirements, and profits. Analyze sales figures and forecast future sales. Monitor inventory levels and order new items. Ensure store compliance with health and safety regulations. Maintain the stability and reputation of the store by complying with legal requirements. Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards. Propose innovative ideas to increase market share. Maintain awareness of market trends in the industry, understanding forthcoming customer initiatives and monitoring what local competitors are doing.
