Job Vacancy: Store Manager - Rice Mill

Experience Required:

Minimum 2-5 years in inventory/store management (preferably in a rice mill or FMCG sector)

Job responsibility

1. Receipt of Materials



Machinery Spares:



Receive

spare parts, lubricants, tools, and consumables

from suppliers. Verify items against

purchase orders and delivery challans

-- check make, model, quantity, and condition. Conduct

visual inspection

for damage or mismatch. Ensure

GRN (Goods Receipt Note)

is prepared and submitted to accounts/purchase for verification.

Packing Materials:



Receive

bags, boxes, labels, BOPP films, stitching thread, tapes, pallets, etc.

Check

print quality, GSM, size, and supplier batch number

as per approved sample. Segregate materials as per product category (e.g., Crown, Export, Domestic*).

2. Storage & Housekeeping



Store items

systematically by category

, with clear labelling and bin cards. Maintain separate sections:

Machinery spares section

- categorized by machine (e.g., paddy cleaner, whitener, polisher, elevator, DG set, boiler, compressor).

Packing material section

- segregated by size, brand, and export/domestic usage. Ensure

FIFO / FEFO

(First-In-First-Out) method for issue. Maintain

clean, dry, and pest-free

storage conditions. Use racks and pallets to prevent floor contact.

3. Issuance of Material



Machinery Spares:



Issue only against

authorized indent/requisition

from maintenance or production departments. Record issue in

manual or ERP system

with machine name, department, and user signature. Keep daily record of

critical spare consumption

for preventive maintenance analysis.

Packing Materials:



Issue to production/packing as per

daily packaging plan or dispatch schedule

. Maintain

batch-wise issue record

to track usage against production lots. Ensure no

mix-up of brands or bag designs

during issue.

4. Inventory Management



Maintain

minimum, maximum, and reorder levels

for all regular items. Conduct

weekly/monthly physical stock verification

and reconcile with records. Report

discrepancies, shortages, or excess stock

immediately to management. Maintain

updated stock ledger / ERP entry

daily. Identify

slow-moving, non-moving, and obsolete

items and report for disposal or return. Prepare

monthly consumption reports

for machinery spares and packing material.

5. Coordination & Documentation



Coordinate with

purchase department

for timely replenishment of items nearing reorder level. Provide

stock status reports

for planning of upcoming production or maintenance shutdowns. Maintain proper filing of: Purchase orders GRNs Inspection reports Material issue slips Supplier invoices and return notes Ensure

proper tagging and identification

of all stored materials.

6. Compliance & Safety



Ensure all storage practices comply with

safety standards and audit requirements

(e.g., FSSAI, ISO, HACCP). Follow

lock & key / restricted access

for costly spares and printed packaging materials. Maintain

fire extinguishers, ventilation, and housekeeping

standards in store area.

7. Record & System Management



Maintain or update data in

ERP / Tally / Excel-based stock system

. Keep

material receipt & issue register

,

bin cards

, and

daily stock summary

. Support internal or external

audit teams

with data and physical verification.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
