Qualification & Experience:

Graduate in B.Com / Logistics / Supply Chain Managementor equivalent.
Minimum 10 years of experiencein stores, inventory, and logistics management in a process or manufacturing setup.
Job Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Stores Manager to establish and lead the entire stores and inventory management function at our upcoming non-ferrous metal greenfield project near Bhilad, Gujarat. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up efficient systems, procedures, and best practices to manage large-scale material movements, storage, and documentation across all stages of the project.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee all store operations -- receiving, inspection, storage, issuing, documentation, and inventory control of materials, consumables, and finished goods.
Establish efficient systems for receiving, weighing, tagging, binning, and storing machinery and equipment arriving in multiple consignments.
Develop systematic storage layouts with proper labeling, segregation, and identification of all items.
Supervise loading/unloading activities ensuring compliance with industrial safety norms and practices.
Manage weighbridge operations including slips, return notes, and preparation of weekly/monthly audit and verification reports.
Maintain accurate inventory levels, support physical verification during audits, and ensure smooth coordination with procurement and finance teams.
Coordinate with transporters for timely movement of incoming and outgoing materials.
Develop and implement inventory optimization strategies to minimize wastage, redundant or obsolete stock, and improve cost efficiency.
Participate in budgeting and forecasting for procurement of critical spares, consumables, and raw materials.
Ensure compliance with statutory and internal audit requirements.
Lead, train, and motivate the stores team to drive efficiency and accountability.
Ensure smooth integration and utilization of ERP systems (such as SAP / SAP-MM or equivalent*) for all store operations.

Desired Candidate Profile:

Proficient in MS Word, Excel*, and ERP systems.

Strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills.
Detail-oriented, process-driven, and hands-on in managing large-scale industrial stores.
Proven ability to independently handle stores and logistics for large engineering or process industry projects.
