Store Manager -- Retail Operations

We are looking for a proactive, commercially minded Store Manager to lead day?to?day store operations, drive sales and profitability, deliver excellent customer service, and build a high?performing team. This role owns staffing, inventory control, merchandising, loss prevention, and compliance to ensure a great in?store experience.

Key responsibilities:

Lead, coach and develop store staff; recruit, onboard and conduct performance reviews. Create staff schedules, manage attendance and resolve disciplinary issues. Oversee daily store operations: opening/closing, cash handling, reporting and SOP compliance. Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve escalations promptly. Drive sales targets and margin through promotions, merchandising and category management. Monitor sales metrics (conversion, basket size, category performance) and act to improve them. Manage inventory: ordering, stock counts, receiving, rotation, expiry control and shrinkage reduction. Implement loss prevention measures and monitor stock accuracy. Ensure store visual standards, display compliance and cleanliness. Maintain health, safety and legal compliance; conduct regular inspections and documentation.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Retail Management or related field preferred. 3-5 years progressive retail experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory/managerial role. Experience in high?volume retail environment preferred. Strong leadership, communication and customer service skills. Proficient with POS systems, MS Office and retail management software. Solid analytical skills with experience interpreting sales and inventory KPIs. Ability to work under pressure, stand for long periods and handle physical tasks as required.
