Job Description

The Cafe Store Manager will oversee all daily operations of the bread bar in Chembur, ensuring excellent customer service, smooth workflow, and high-quality food and beverage standards. This role requires a hands-on leader who can manage staff, maintain operational efficiency, and create a warm, welcoming atmosphere for every guest.

Key Responsibilities Operations & Service

Supervise daily cafe operations, including opening/closing routines. Ensure high-quality customer service and promptly resolve guest concerns. Maintain cafe cleanliness, ambience, and hygiene as per FSSAI standards. Oversee food and beverage preparation quality, taste, serving time, and presentation.

Staff Leadership

Recruit, train, schedule, and manage cafe staff (baristas, service staff, kitchen helpers). Provide continuous coaching to improve performance and customer experience. Conduct staff meetings, performance reviews, and handle shift planning.

Sales & Inventory

Monitor daily sales and work toward achieving revenue targets. Manage inventory: stock ordering, vendor coordination, and waste control. Track consumption, manage perishables, and minimize food wastage.

Financial & Administrative

Handle cash management, billing accuracy, and daily sales reports. Maintain records, compliance documents, and cafe licenses where applicable. Support promotional activities, seasonal menu launches, and local marketing efforts.

Required Qualifications

Minimum 2-4 years of experience in cafe or restaurant management. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication and customer service abilities. Knowledge of cafe operations, beverages, food safety, and HACCP/FSSAI guidelines. Experience with POS systems and daily sales reporting.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience managing a cafe in Mumbai or suburban neighborhoods like Chembur. Barista knowledge or familiarity with coffee equipment. Diploma/degree in Hospitality, Hotel Management, or related field.
