The Store Manager at Kothari International School is responsible for managing the school store's daily operations, ensuring availability of uniforms, books, stationery, and other school-related supplies. The role includes overseeing inventory, maintaining accurate records, providing excellent service to students and parents, and ensuring smooth coordination with vendors and the school administration.
Key Responsibilities Store Operations
Manage daily functioning of the school store in accordance with school policies.
Ensure the timely availability of uniforms, textbooks, notebooks, stationery, and school merchandise.
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper display of all store items.
Inventory & Stock Management
Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely procurement of required items.
Maintain accurate stock records and perform periodic stock audits.
Coordinate with approved vendors for orders, deliveries, and quality checks.
Customer Service
Assist students, parents, and staff with purchases in a courteous and efficient manner.
Address customer queries, concerns, and product availability issues.
Provide guidance on uniform specifications, book lists, and other school requirements.
Sales & Billing
Manage billing, cash handling, and daily reconciliation of sales.
Ensure accuracy in sales transactions and maintain proper documentation.
Prepare and submit periodic sales and stock reports to the administration.
Compliance & Coordination
Follow school guidelines, health, and safety standards within the store.
Coordinate with the school administration for annual book and uniform distribution.
Support school events requiring store supplies or merchandise.
Qualifications Required
Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in store or inventory management.
Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
Good communication and customer service abilities.
Proficiency in basic computer applications (MS Excel, billing software, inventory tools).
Preferred
Experience in managing a school or institutional store.
Knowledge of procurement, vendor management, and stock control.
