Job Description

The

Store Manager

is responsible for the overall performance and day-to-day operations of the retail store. This includes leading the team, driving sales and profitability, managing inventory, ensuring high standards of customer service, and maintaining visual merchandising and store hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities



People Management

Lead, motivate, and manage a team of store staff, including sales associates, cashiers, and stock handlers. Manage shift scheduling, attendance, and staff performance. Conduct regular team meetings and training for customer service and product knowledge.
Sales & Customer Experience

Drive daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets. Implement upselling and cross-selling strategies. Monitor customer service levels; resolve escalated customer issues professionally. Build customer relationships and promote customer loyalty programs.
Store Operations

Ensure smooth daily store opening and closing procedures. Monitor stock levels and manage reordering through coordination with the supply chain team. Perform regular stock audits and prevent pilferage or stock discrepancies. Ensure compliance with all health, safety, hygiene, and legal regulations.
Merchandising & Store Presentation

Maintain high standards of product displays, signage, and store layout. Coordinate with the visual merchandising team for seasonal or promotional layouts. Ensure promotional materials are correctly displayed and updated.
Reporting & Administration

Generate and analyze sales reports, inventory data, and footfall metrics. Submit daily/weekly/monthly reports to the regional/area manager. Monitor cash handling, POS functioning, and billing accuracy.

Requirements Education & Experience



Graduate in any discipline (Retail/Business Management preferred). Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar retail management role (FMCG/F&B/lifestyle segments preferred).

Skills & Qualities



Strong leadership and team-building skills. Excellent communication and customer service orientation. Inventory and stock management experience. Proficient in MS Office and POS systems. Strong problem-solving and multitasking ability.
