Job Title : Store Manager - Large Furniture Store (35,000?sq?ft)

Location

: Nagpur, Maharashtra, India

Experience: Minimum 10 years in retail store management (preferably furniture)

Role Overview

Oversee daily store operations for a 35,000?sq?ft furniture showroom

Deliver exceptional customer service, drive sales, and ensure operational excellence

Key Responsibilities

Lead, hire, train, and motivate the store team Set and achieve sales, profitability, and KPI targets (e.g., sales per sq?ft, turnover) Manage inventory, merchandising, merchandise flow, and vendor coordination Ensure engaging visual displays and attractive showroom layout Resolve escalated customer issues professionally Prepare and present performance reports, budgets, and forecasts Enforce compliance with safety, health, and regulatory standards Optimize store performance through strategic promotions and operations

Qualifications & Skills

Minimum 10 years of experience managing large-format retail (furniture preferred) Strong leadership, team development, and people-management abilities Proven success in sales growth, budget control, and profitability Excellent written and spoken English and Hindi/Marathi; knowledge of local market a plus Proficient with POS/ERP/inventory systems Organized, analytical, strategic thinker with problem-solving skills Bachelor's degree in Business, Retail Management, or equivalent (MBA preferred) Flexible to work weekends/holidays as needed
