Job Summary:


The Store Manager is the owner of their store's success. You will have full responsibility for all aspects of day-to-day operations, from driving sales and ensuring an exceptional customer experience to managing inventory, leading a high-performing team, and achieving profitability goals. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with a passion for fresh produce and a proven track record of excellence in a retail environment.

Key Responsibilities:



1. Sales & Customer Experience:



Drive store sales and profitability by achieving and exceeding daily, weekly, and monthly targets. Champion a customer-first culture, ensuring every customer receives outstanding service, from a warm welcome to knowledgeable assistance about our products. Train the team on effective upselling, cross-selling, and promotional strategies. Handle all customer queries, feedback, and complaints promptly and professionally, turning challenges into opportunities to build loyalty.

2. Store Operations & Inventory Management:



Oversee all aspects of inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and rigorous quality control of all produce to ensure freshness. Implement and enforce strict standards for product rotation (First-In, First-Out), storage, and quality checks to minimize wastage. Manage visual merchandising to create appealing, abundant, and easy-to-shop displays that drive sales and reflect our brand's premium quality. Ensure the store is impeccably clean, organized, and compliant with all health, safety, and hygiene regulations at all times. Oversee all opening and closing procedures, including cash management, daily sales reporting, and bank deposits.

3. Team Leadership & Development:



Lead by example, setting a high standard for performance, professionalism, and positive energy on the sales floor. Manage the full employee lifecycle at the store level, including assisting in recruitment, conducting onboarding, and providing continuous on-the-job training. Create effective staff schedules to ensure optimal floor coverage during peak hours while managing labor costs. Conduct daily team briefings ("huddles") to communicate sales targets, promotions, and operational priorities. Monitor team performance, provide regular constructive feedback, and conduct performance appraisals in partnership with HR and the Cluster Manager.

4. Financial & Commercial Management:



Manage the store's P&L, focusing on maximizing revenue and controlling operational costs like payroll, wastage, and utilities. Analyze daily and weekly sales reports to identify sales trends, top-performing products, and areas for improvement. Ensure the accuracy of all cash handling, billing, and end-of-day financial reconciliation. Implement effective loss prevention measures to minimize shrinkage and theft.

Qualifications & Skills:



Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field is preferred. 3-5+ years of experience in a retail management role, with at least 2 years as a Store Manager, Assistant Store Manager, or Department Manager.

Experience in the grocery, supermarket, or fresh produce industry is highly desirable.

Strong commercial acumen with a proven ability to drive sales and manage profitability. Excellent leadership, communication, and team motivation skills. A hands-on, problem-solving mindset with meticulous attention to detail. Proficiency with Point-of-Sale (POS) systems and MS Office. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as is standard in a retail environment.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
