We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Storekeeper to manage inventory and supplies in our warehouse. The ideal candidate will have experience in supply chain management, warehouse distribution, and inventory control. This role is crucial for ensuring that our operations run smoothly and efficiently, contributing to overall productivity.
Duties
Oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials and supplies within the warehouse.
Maintain accurate inventory records using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP systems.
Conduct regular stock counts and manage inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstock situations.
Utilize data analysis skills to forecast demand and assist in demand planning.
Coordinate with suppliers for procurement of materials, negotiating contracts to secure favorable terms.
Manage shipping and receiving processes, ensuring timely dispatch of goods.
Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in warehouse operations.
Handle materials management tasks including stocking, order fulfillment, and freight coordination.
Collaborate with logistics teams to optimize transportation planning and supply chain analytics.
Utilize tools such as Tableau for data visualization and reporting on inventory metrics.
Requirements
Proven experience in warehouse management or related fields such as logistics or supply chain management.
Strong knowledge of inventory management principles and practices.
Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS) and materials handling equipment (e.g., forklifts).
Proficient in data collection and analysis; SQL skills are a plus.
Excellent negotiation skills for vendor management and procurement activities.
Ability to perform root cause analysis to address operational challenges effectively.
Experience with e-commerce logistics is desirable.
Strong mechanical knowledge related to warehouse operations is beneficial.
Effective communication skills for collaboration with various teams across the organization.
