Maintain and oversee daily inventory of fabrics, trims and accessories.
Receive incoming materials and verify quantity, quality, and documentation against purchase orders.
Issue materials to production as per approved requisitions.
Record material received, issued, and balance stock accurately in the inventory register/system.
Ensure proper storage and labeling of all fabric and trims to avoid mix-ups and damage.
Monitor stock levels and identify shortages, fast-moving items, and slow-moving stock.
Prepare stock requests / purchase requirements for items that need to be ordered from the market.
Coordinate with the purchasing team to follow up on material deliveries.
Track daily consumption and ensure no unauthorized material movement.
Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization of the store area.
Generate inventory reports and share regularly with management.
Handle returns and adjustments of leftover materials after production.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Basic computer knowledge (Excel/inventory software entry).
Experience in store/inventory handling, preferably in garment or textile industry.
Good numerical and documentation skills.
Ability to prioritize and manage workload in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail and responsibility in handling materials.
Preferred Experience
1-3 years of experience in fabric / trim / garment store (recommended but not mandatory).
Knowledge of different types of fabrics, trims & accessories will be an advantage.
