Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive

Store Manager

to oversee inventory management, material handling, and warehouse operations within our transformer manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate storage, timely issuance of materials, and efficient coordination with procurement and production departments to support seamless operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Management:

Maintain optimal stock levels of raw materials, components (e.g., copper coils, cores, insulating materials), and finished goods. Conduct regular cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies with ERP systems. Monitor inventory turnover and initiate reordering processes.

Material Handling:

Ensure safe and organized storage of transformer-related materials and hazardous items like transformer oil or resins. Implement FIFO/FEFO practices for materials with shelf life.

Warehouse Operations:

Oversee receiving, storage, and dispatch of goods. Maintain cleanliness, safety, and accessibility of storage areas. Supervise loading/unloading processes and proper material tagging.

ERP & Documentation:

Update inventory transactions in ERP software (SAP, Oracle, etc.). Prepare GRNs (Goods Receipt Notes), issue slips, and material return documents. Ensure compliance with audit requirements and maintain up-to-date records.

Team Management:

Lead, train, and supervise storekeepers and warehouse staff. Allocate tasks, monitor performance, and ensure adherence to SOPs.

Coordination:

Liaise with procurement, production, and quality teams to fulfill material needs. Communicate material shortages, delays, or damages proactively.

Compliance & Safety:

Adhere to industry regulations (electrical safety, hazardous material handling). Ensure proper labeling, MSDS availability, and handling procedures.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or related field. 5+ years of experience in stores/warehouse management, preferably in transformer or heavy electrical equipment manufacturing. Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong knowledge of transformer components and industry-specific storage requirements. Leadership and team management skills. Familiarity with ISO, safety, and quality standards in electrical manufacturing.
