The Store Manager role at THE SPOT is not about running a store. It is about building a working retail system. You are hired to build and operate a flagship store designed to scale toward ?1 crore+ in monthly revenue as systems mature, while simultaneously designing the product mix, margin structure, inventory cadence, loyalty behavior, supplier playbooks, and customer experience standards that others will later adopt.
This role combines full P&L ownership with concept piloting, engagement economics, and network leadership. You are accountable for today's outcomes and responsible for architecting tomorrow's scalability. As Store Manager, you are accountable for the business outcomes of this engagement layer. That includes conversion rates, repeat participation, loyalty integration, staffing discipline, and unit economics. The goal is not activity, but measurable value that can be documented and replicated across locations.
You will take full ownership of THE SPOT's operating rhythm. This includes driving sales growth, maintaining healthy gross margins, managing inventory turns with working-capital discipline, controlling shrink, and delivering consistent customer excellence at the standards expected of a high-velocity premium convenience or grocery operation.
You will design and continuously optimize a NACS-style product mix that balances frequency, margin, and trust. You will build margin architecture that compounds value over time rather than relying on discounting. You will manage inventory with precision so availability, turns, and cash flow remain aligned. You will design loyalty programs that reward repeat behavior and long-term value instead of short-term spend. You will build supplier relationships based on transparency, performance, and shared growth.
Everything that works must be measured, refined, documented, and standardized so it can be replicated without heroics.
THE SPOT is also designed to function as a reference model for other operators. As Store Manager, you will host and engage other retailers, operators, and partners, demonstrating systems and outcomes in real time. You will help attract retailers into the THE SPOT network, convert interest into pilots or partnerships, and feed operational insights back into the Edge Growth Factory so the model can scale with confidence.
Your credibility, discipline, and execution will directly influence how quickly and how responsibly the platform expands.
The ideal candidate brings deep, proven experience with Convenience Store -style retail systems and understands retail as a repeatable operating discipline rather than a collection of transactions. You have managed high-volume stores, optimized product mix and margin rates, maintained strong inventory turns, and delivered consistent customer excellence. You have designed or operated loyalty programs that drive frequency and lifetime value, built trusted supplier relationships, and scaled stores or operating models across multiple geographies.
Equally important, you bring the leadership presence and credibility to attract other retailers and operators to learn from and participate in THE SPOT ecosystem.
