Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on
Store Manager
to lead daily operations of our sub sandwich shop. The ideal candidate should have prior knowledge of preparing subs/sandwiches, managing food service operations, training staff, maintaining inventory, and delivering exceptional customer service. This role combines leadership, food preparation, and business operations.
Key Responsibilities:Operations & Leadership
Oversee daily operations of the store including opening and closing procedures.
Lead by example in preparing high-quality subs according to brand standards.
Ensure all food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards are met.
Supervise and schedule staff shifts to ensure efficient operations.
Conduct daily/weekly/monthly inventory checks and place orders as needed.
Food Preparation
Make subs and sandwiches accurately and consistently as per recipes.
Train team members on sub preparation techniques, portion control, and product freshness.
Monitor food prep areas and ensure timely stocking of ingredients.
Maintain high standards for food presentation and taste.
Staff Management
Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate team members.
Motivate staff to deliver excellent customer service and maintain productivity.
Handle employee relations, including performance reviews and conflict resolution.
Customer Service
Ensure a welcoming and friendly environment for customers.
Resolve customer complaints and queries effectively and professionally.
Monitor service quality and make improvements based on customer feedback.
Sales & Reporting
Monitor daily sales and meet store targets.
Manage cash handling and ensure accurate end-of-day reconciliation.
Prepare and submit daily/weekly reports on sales, labor, and inventory.
Compliance & Safety
Comply with health and safety regulations, including food handling and sanitation.
Ensure the store meets all local, state, and corporate policies and regulations.
Implement safety procedures for staff and customers.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in food service or management is a plus.
Minimum 2 years of experience in a food service environment, preferably in sandwich/sub shops.
1+ year of experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
Strong knowledge of sandwich/sub preparation, food hygiene, and kitchen procedures.
Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
Basic computer skills for POS, inventory, and reporting.
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with [Insert brand if applicable Subway operations and recipes.
Passion for customer service and team development.
Working Conditions:
Fast-paced kitchen and retail environment.
Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
Flexible schedule required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
