Job Title: Store Manager

Location: Varapetty - Kothamangalam (Ernakulam) Vanitham Margin Free Supermarket

Employment Type: Full-Time

Reports To: Area Manager / Operations Manager

Job Summary:

The Store Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations of the supermarket, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, staff performance, and sales efficiency. The ideal candidate will lead by example, manage store resources, and maintain operational excellence in line with company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage overall store operations, inventory, and staff.

Ensure the store meets sales targets, shrinkage control, and profit margins.

Supervise and support the team, including scheduling, task delegation, and performance reviews.

Maintain high standards of customer service and resolve customer complaints effectively.

Monitor stock levels and coordinate with suppliers for timely replenishment.

Ensure hygiene, safety, and cleanliness standards are consistently maintained.

Conduct daily checks on billing, cash handling, and POS system accuracy.

Prepare and submit sales reports and operational feedback to higher management.

Implement company policies, promotions, and visual merchandising as required.

Train new staff and ensure ongoing skill development for existing employees.

Qualifications & Skills:

Plus two or Graduate preferred.

Minimum 2-3 years of experience in retail store operations or supermarket management.

Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Proficiency in POS systems, MS Office, and basic financial reporting.

Ability to handle customer issues calmly and professionally.

Knowledge of local language (Malayalam) is essential; English and Hindi are a plus.
