The Store Manager is responsible for managing all construction materials, tools, equipment, and consumables at the project/store site. The role ensures timely availability of materials, proper storage, stock accuracy, and adherence to company policies to support smooth project execution.
Key Responsibilities
Material Management
Receive, inspect, and record all incoming construction materials, tools, and equipment.
Ensure proper storage to prevent damage, pilferage, or deterioration.
Maintain adequate stock levels for project requirements.
Inventory Control
Maintain accurate records of receipts, issues, and stock balances.
Implement FIFO / LIFO methods where applicable.
Conduct regular stock audits, reconciliations, and reporting.
Coordination & Procurement Support
Coordinate with site engineers, project managers, and procurement teams for timely material availability.
Raise requisitions for stock replenishment.
Track pending orders and follow up with vendors/suppliers as needed.
Compliance & Documentation
Maintain GRN (Goods Receipt Note), issue slips, and material return records.
Ensure adherence to safety standards, quality checks, and company policies.
Support in vendor bill verification related to supplied materials.
Team & Process Management
Supervise storekeepers, helpers, and labor handling materials.
Implement best practices in material handling and inventory management.
Identify process improvements for efficiency and cost control.
Key Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of construction materials and equipment.
Proficiency in inventory management systems / ERP software.
Good organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in documentation.
Problem-solving and decision-making ability.
Qualifications & Experience
Graduate / Diploma in Supply Chain, Material Management, or related field.
3-4 years of experience in store/inventory management, preferably in construction or infrastructure projects.
Knowledge of MS Office and inventory software (SAP, Tally, or equivalent).

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
