Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities of Store Manager1. Store Operations Management



Oversee day-to-day store operations to ensure smooth functioning. Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and compliance with operational standards. Ensure timely opening and closing of the store.

2. Inventory & Stock Control



Monitor and maintain optimal stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocking. Ensure accurate stock records through regular stock audits and cycle counts. Implement FIFO/FEFO and proper storage practices. Oversee receiving, billing, and documentation of all materials.

3. Sales & Customer Service (for retail stores)



Drive sales targets and implement strategies to improve store performance. Ensure high-quality customer service and handle escalated customer issues. Monitor product display, merchandising, and promotional activities.

4. Staff Supervision & Development



Recruit, train, and supervise store staff. Prepare duty rosters and ensure adequate staffing. Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching. Maintain discipline, teamwork, and a positive work environment.

5. Vendor & Supply Chain Coordination



Coordinate with suppliers for timely delivery and quality of goods. Resolve issues related to shortages, damages, or incorrect shipments. Work closely with the purchasing and logistics teams.

6. Financial & Cash Management



Monitor daily sales transactions and ensure proper cash handling. Prepare and verify store accounts, cash deposits, and expense reports. Minimize shrinkage, wastage, and pilferage.

7. Compliance & Safety



Ensure compliance with company policies, legal norms, and audit requirements. Maintain safety, fire protection, and security protocols. Ensure storage practices meet quality, hygiene, and safety standards.

8. Reporting & Documentation



Prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports on sales, stock, staff performance, and store issues. Highlight discrepancies, shortages, or operational challenges to management. Maintain accurate documentation for audits and internal reviews.

9. Customer Relations & Store Image



Enhance overall store experience through improved ambience, service, and professionalism. Handle customer complaints and feedback to increase customer satisfaction. Ensure brand standards are maintained at all times.

10. Strategic Planning & Improvement



Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement. Implement store strategies to boost productivity and profitability. Participate in management meetings and contribute to strategic decisions.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
