Key Responsibilities:
Receive and inspect all incoming food items and materials for
quality, quantity, and accuracy
.
Store provisions appropriately, ensuring
proper labeling, rotation (FIFO/FEFO), and food safety compliance
.
Issue daily rations and ingredients to the kitchen as per authorized indents.
Maintain
accurate stock registers and inventory records
of receipts, issues, and balances.
Conduct
regular stock counts
and report shortages, damages, or expired items.
Monitor inventory levels to ensure
timely replenishment
and minimize wastage.
Keep the mess store
clean, organized, and compliant
with hygiene and safety standards.
Coordinate with
procurement, kitchen, and accounts departments
for purchasing and documentation.
Prepare and submit
periodic stock and consumption reports
to management.
Qualifications & Skills:
Minimum
High School / Diploma
qualification (preferred: in Store Management, Hotel Management, or related field).
2+ years
of experience in mess, kitchen, or hospital storekeeping.
Knowledge of
inventory control, food safety, and hygiene practices
.
Basic computer skills; familiarity with
inventory software or ERP systems
preferred.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Honest, disciplined, and attentive to detail.
