The Store Keeper is responsible for managing, organizing, and maintaining all inventory and stock-related activities within the store or warehouse. This role ensures that materials, tools, equipment, and supplies are received, stored, issued, and recorded accurately to support smooth operations and prevent stock discrepancies.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive and inspect all incoming materials and reconcile them with purchase orders.
Record and maintain accurate inventory levels of all items in stock.
Issue materials, tools, and supplies to departments as per approved requests.
Maintain organized storage areas to ensure easy identification and accessibility of materials.
Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile with system records.
Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the procurement department to replenish materials on time.
Ensure proper storage and handling of items to prevent damage or loss.
Maintain records of all stock movements, receipts, and issues.
Prepare inventory reports and assist in audits.
Enforce safety, health, and housekeeping standards in the store area.
Skills & Competencies:
High school diploma or equivalent (a diploma or degree in supply chain management or a related field is an advantage).
Proven experience as a storekeeper, inventory clerk, or warehouse assistant.
Knowledge of inventory management and record-keeping systems.
Proficiency in using MS Office and inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Tally, or ERP systems).
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
