Job Description

Key Responsibilities1. Inventory Management



Maintain stock of fire & safety equipment such as fire extinguishers, smoke detectors, control panels, fire hoses, hydrant accessories, safety gear, etc. Track serial numbers, batch numbers, cylinder manufacturing dates, hydrotest due dates, and expiry details. Perform regular stock audits and ensure 100% accuracy. Follow FIFO/FEFO for consumable items and chemicals.

2. Receiving & Inspection



Receive incoming materials and verify against purchase orders, invoices, and technical specifications. Inspect the condition of fire extinguishers, cylinders, valves, and sensitive electronics. Ensure calibration certificates, test reports, and compliance documentation are included where required.

3. Issuing Materials



Issue equipment, tools, and materials to project, service, and maintenance teams. Ensure proper documentation through issue vouchers or ERP system entries. Track tools and equipment issued to technicians and ensure timely return.

4. Documentation & Reporting



Maintain GRNs, issue slips, stock registers, calibration logs, and asset tracking sheets. Update ERP/inventory software daily. Prepare monthly stock reports and submit to management.

5. Safety & Compliance



Ensure proper handling and safe storage of pressurized cylinders, chemicals, and electronic components. Maintain segregation of hazardous, expired, or defective materials. Follow NFPA/OSHA/local fire safety compliance requirements relevant to storage.

6. Store Organization



Keep the store clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards. Ensure materials are properly labeled, categorized, and shelf-mapped. Maintain an efficient layout for quick retrieval of emergency response equipment.

7. Coordination



-Coordinate with procurement for replenishment of fire & safety materials.

Liaise with technicians, engineers, and project teams to understand material requirements. Assist in yearly audits and external certification requirements.

Technical Knowledge



Familiarity with fire extinguishers, fire suppression systems, hydrant components, alarms, and PPE.

Skills



Strong organizational and record-keeping skills. Knowledge of ERP/Inventory software. Good communication and coordination abilities. Ability to handle physical tasks and heavy equipment safely. Basic understanding of calibration and testing documentation. Ability to read item codes, specifications, and BOQs.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
