Job Summary
We are looking for a highly organized and proactive Store Keeper with expertise in Tally software to manage our daily inventory operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the complete material lifecycle, including inward receiving, outward dispatch, and maintaining accurate real-time stock records. Your primary goal will be to ensure inventory accuracy, optimize stock levels, and support seamless supply chain activities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Material Inward & Receiving:
Receive all incoming materials, raw materials, and supplies from vendors.
Thoroughly inspect goods for quantity, quality, and damage against purchase orders and delivery challans.
Accurately enter all receipt details into the Tally system, updating stock levels in real-time.
Generate and maintain Goods Receipt Notes (GRNs) and related documentation.
Properly label and place items in their designated storage locations.
2. Material Outward & Dispatch:
Process all material issues for production, sales orders, and internal departments.
Pick, pack, and prepare outbound shipments accurately as per picking lists or sales orders.
Ensure all dispatched goods are accompanied with correct documentation (e.g., Delivery Challan, Invoice).
Record all material issues and dispatches promptly in the Tally system.
Coordinate with the logistics team for timely and accurate dispatches.
3. Inventory Management & Control:
Maintain 100% accuracy of physical stock against the records in the Tally system.
Conduct regular cycle counting and periodic physical stock audits.
Identify, investigate, and report any discrepancies, shortages, or variances.
Monitor stock levels to prevent overstocking or stock-outs and generate re-order alerts.
Implement and maintain the FIFO (First-In, First-Out) or FEFO (First-Expired, First-Out) method.
4. Tally & Documentation:
Proficiently operate Tally.ERP 9 or Tally Prime for all inventory and accounting transactions.
Maintain all stock-related ledgers and generate necessary inventory reports (Stock Summary, Movement Analysis, Ageing Analysis).
Ensure all physical movements are accurately reflected in Tally on a daily basis.
File and archive all inventory-related documents systematically.
5. Store Maintenance & Safety:
Ensure the warehouse is clean, organized, and secure at all times.
Implement and adhere to all health and safety regulations.
Operate material handling equipment (e.g., hand trolleys, pallet jacks) safely, if required.
Qualifications and Skills
Education:
High school diploma or B.com, M.com, equivalent required. A diploma in Store Management, Supply Chain, or a related field is preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of [2-3] years of proven experience as a Store Keeper or in a similar inventory management role.
Technical Skills:
Mandatory:
Hands-on experience with
Tally.ERP 9 or Tally Prime
for inventory management.
Strong understanding of inventory control principles and warehouse management.
Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
