The Storekeeper is responsible for receiving, storing, and issuing goods while maintaining proper records of materials. The role ensures smooth stock management, accurate documentation, and timely availability of items to support operations.
Key Responsibilities
Receive, inspect, and verify all incoming goods against purchase orders and invoices.
Organize and maintain the store area for easy identification, access, and safety.
Maintain stock levels and update inventory records in the system.
Issue materials and supplies to departments as per requisition.
Conduct regular stock audits, cycle counts, and reconciliation of physical stock with system records.
Ensure proper storage of perishable and non-perishable items.
Monitor inventory levels and inform management for timely replenishment.
Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the store.
Coordinate with the purchase and accounts team for documentation and stock-related queries.
Requirements
Proven experience as a storekeeper, store clerk, or similar role.
Knowledge of inventory management and stock control procedures.
Familiarity with storekeeping and documentation practices (manual & computerized).
Basic knowledge of MS Office / ERP systems preferred.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
Education & Experience
Minimum: High School / Diploma / Graduate.
Experience: 1-3 years in storekeeping or inventory management (industry-specific experience preferred).
