Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing stock using manual logs or hotel inventory systems.
Receiving Goods:
Check deliveries for accuracy and quality, ensuring items match purchase orders and hotel standards.
Storage:
Properly label, store, and organize goods in the storeroom according to category, type, and safety requirements.
Issuing Stock:
Distribute requested items to various departments (e.g., kitchen, housekeeping, maintenance) as per requisition forms.
Stock Control:
Monitor stock levels and inform the purchasing team of low stock or reorder needs.
Documentation:
Maintain up-to-date stock registers, issue slips, and delivery notes; ensure proper documentation for audits.
Hygiene & Safety:
Ensure storerooms are clean, organized, pest-free, and compliant with hotel hygiene and safety policies.
Coordination:
Work closely with the purchasing, accounts, and department heads to ensure smooth inventory flow.
Waste Management:
Identify and report expired or damaged goods; follow procedures for proper disposal.
Asset Tagging:
Support asset tracking and tagging of hotel equipment and materials.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Storekeeper or in a similar role in the hotel or hospitality industry.
Knowledge of hotel inventory systems and stock control processes.
Basic knowledge of procurement and food safety standards (especially for F&B stores).
Good organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and handle physical work (lifting, organizing stock).
Familiar with MS Office and inventory management software (e.g., Materials Control, FMC, or similar).
High school diploma or equivalent; certification in storekeeping or inventory management is a plus.
Preferred Experience:
2+ years of experience as a Storekeeper in a hotel or resort.
Experience managing multiple storerooms (e.g., general store, F&B store, housekeeping store).
Familiarity with HACCP or other hygiene standards for perishable goods.
