Job Description

The Store Keeper / Helper will assist the

Store Manager

in handling day-to-day store operations including

receiving, storing, issuing, and maintaining records

of materials, spares, consumables, and chemicals required for

STP, ETP, WTP, DM plants, and valve systems

.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in receiving incoming materials, verifying quantity & quality as per delivery challans. Arrange and stack materials, spares, and chemicals in designated locations safely. Issue materials to plant teams against proper authorization (indents/issue slips). Maintain stock registers, bin cards, and labeling of items. Support in

stock counting and monthly/annual physical verification

. Follow

FIFO (First-In-First-Out)

for consumables and chemicals. Assist in unloading/loading of goods with proper safety practices. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store area. Report low stock levels and assist Store Manager in replenishment requests. Ensure safe handling of hazardous items (chemicals, lubricants, electrical spares).

Key Skills & Competencies

Basic knowledge of plant spares, tools, and consumables. Ability to maintain records manually and/or in computer systems. Physically fit and able to handle lifting, loading & shifting tasks. Safety awareness in material handling. Good teamwork and communication skills.

Eligibility

ITI / Diploma / Graduate (any stream). 2-5 years of store / warehouse experience (industrial/plant background preferred).
