Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable and organized Store Keeper to manage raw material inventory at our furniture manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate stock records, planning reorders based on production needs, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring smooth material flow to the shop floor.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Management

Maintain accurate stock records of all raw materials including wood, hardware, adhesives, and consumables. Regularly update inventory using Excel or ERA software. Conduct periodic physical stock audits to ensure data accuracy.
Material Handling

Manage different types of materials including: Imported or critical raw materials with long lead times High-value hardware items with frequent turnover Common consumables for daily use Ensure proper storage, labeling, and shelf-life tracking where needed.
Stock Planning & Reordering

Monitor stock levels and usage patterns to avoid shortages or overstocking. Plan and initiate reorders based on production schedules and material consumption. Maintain buffer stock for key materials to reduce downtime.
Vendor Coordination

Keep a database of approved suppliers and track delivery timelines. Coordinate with the purchase team and follow up with vendors on pending deliveries. Update team on any delays affecting production schedules.
Documentation & Reporting

Maintain all material movement records including Goods Received Notes (GRNs), issue slips, and returns. Prepare and share regular stock and usage reports for management. Assist in forecasting material requirements based on upcoming production plans.

Requirements

Qualifications & Skills

Minimum 2 years of experience in inventory/storekeeping, preferably in a manufacturing or furniture unit. Good working knowledge of Excel and basic inventory software (ERA or equivalent). Strong attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills. Basic understanding of procurement and vendor lead times.
Preferred

Experience with wood and hardware material handling is a plus. Familiarity with inventory control techniques like FIFO, minimum stock levels, etc.
