Unload and inspect incoming materials, tools, and equipment to ensure the correct quantity and quality are delivered against purchase orders and delivery notes.
Storage and organization:
Properly store, label, and arrange all items in designated areas to ensure they are easy to access and to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Inventory management:
Maintain accurate records of all stock movements, conduct regular physical stock checks, and monitor stock levels to prevent overstocking or shortages.
Issuing materials:
Issue materials and equipment to the construction site only upon receiving an authorized requisition or indent.
Record keeping:
Maintain all necessary documentation, including logbooks, entry/exit registers, delivery/dispatch registers, and material lists.
Additional duties
Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely deliveries.
Initiate purchase requisitions when stock levels are low and take action to stop purchasing when they are too high.
Collaborate with other departments as needed.
Perform periodic maintenance and inspections on store equipment and infrastructure.
Ensure compliance with all safety and security procedures.
