Material Storage:
Organize materials (cement, steel, tools) in designated areas, ensuring proper stacking, security, and adherence to First-In, First-Out (FIFO) for stock rotation.
Inventory Control:
Maintain real-time records (logbooks, ERP), conduct regular stock counts, and flag discrepancies.
Material Issuance:
Provide materials to trades (bar benders, electricians, etc.) based on approved requests, updating records.
Documentation:
Handle all related paperwork (delivery challans, issue slips, reports).
Coordination:
Liaise with purchase teams, suppliers, and site engineers for material needs and smooth flow.
Safety:
Enforce safety protocols for handling, storing, and moving materials to prevent damage or loss.
Reporting:
Prepare inventory status, material consumption, and stock reports for management.
Essential Skills
Attention to detail.
Record-keeping and basic computer skills (ERP knowledge is a plus).
Knowledge of construction materials and handling procedures.
Organizational and coordination abilities.
